Security deposits are taken by every reputable car and van hire company. This deposit is held against loss or damage of the vehicle. The size of the deposit typically depends on the type of vehicle you are hiring and the length of time that you are keeping the vehicle.

Security deposits range from around £250.00 to £500.00 and are taken from, or secured against, the driver’s credit or debit card. On receipt of the vehicle back in good condition, the deposit is returned to the driver and can take up to seven working days to return depending on the type of card used.

In certain circumstances YelloHire can offer a no deposit hire option. Other companies who provide a no deposit hire option charge between £10.00 and £30.00 per day for the privilege. At YelloHire, the no deposit option is a flat fee of £20.00 plus the cost of our excess reimbursement insurance per day.
