Christmas is coming!

The title says it all! It’s almost that time of year again!

With just over a month to go, Christmas is looming up at a rate of knots. The larger vehicle fleets across the country are already starting to hire large portions of their van fleets to the likes of Royal Mail, Argos, DHL etc.

This means that once again the number of vehicles available for hire across the UK will start to diminish from this weekend. The chances of picking up a larger vehicle at short notice will also start to diminish as a result.

Advanced planning is required especially if there is a house move in the offing or a son / daughter to collect from university. Don’t leave it until the last minute to organise a vehicle if you already know where & when it will be required.

The most popular van for house moves is the Luton box van with tail lift. The demand for these is, as ever, greater than the available supply especially for those people wishing to arrange a one way hire. We strive meet all such requests but are starting to find it harder to arrange these at short notice. Ideally we require at least 2 weeks notice to stand a reasonable chance of fulfilling such requests.

YelloHire started taking bookings for this busy Christmas period several months ago and the booking requests are now coming in thick & fast. We aim to satisfy all these bookings but will find it hard to confirm vehicles as we get closer to the holiday period.

Please note that our van hire prices generally remain the same throughout the year. Unlike a lot of other hire companies we try not to increase our prices at peak times (Easyjet & Ryanair please take note!!).
